Flash video and Microsoft’s Silverlight to go to war!
It seems Adobe have relented and included DRM within Flash video with the announcement of Adobe Media Player.
Hot on their heels is Microsoft, who’ve also announced Silverlight, a plug-in for Windows and Mac that’ll work across the major browsers too.

Final version of the Wii browser has been released. You need to perform a small system update before upgrading apparently. Still stuck with Flash 7 because Adobe haven’t updated their SDK (which would also explain why the Playstation 3’s implementation of Flash is also stuck at 7).

Two competing standards currently going at it to become the future markup language of the web, XHTML2 and HTML5. Mozilla, Opera and Apple are siding with HTML5, but there are also arguments from the other perspective, that XHTML2 is preferable to HTML5.
I’m unfortunately betting on whichever Microsoft decide to go with.
