Damn spam; fed up with dealing with hundreds of spam submissions whenever I attempt to moderate comments on the blog. Going to look into plug-ins which help with this, but for the time being I’m turning off the ability to comment of posts.
EDIT: turns out I deactivated the spam filter when I last tried upgrading WordPress. Dur! Thanks to Anthony for pointing that out!
Emmy Huang’s blog reveals the new stats for Flash penetration across the world for December 2007 (also up on Adobe’s site). While the US figures are an even more impressive 95.3%, in Europe having 94.3% of users able to view Flash 9 content is amazing.
Worth taking with a tiny pinch of salt, as our internal stats often shave about 5-8% off usually, but still really really good.
Probably been posted a million times across the internet by now, but who cares? It’s amazing.
The Flash-based site for the new Nintendo DS Advance Wars game has gone live. I really like the style of the site and while there isn’t that much content up there yet it offers a taste of the game to come.
The previous games in the series have all been brilliant, so really looking forward to this one (which’ll offer online play for the first time too).
Roll-on the 25th Jan…
NOTE: artwork up on Kotaku.
NOTE: European site now live too.
MD5 for AS3 here; useful with Flickr authentication. Found originally here.
Very funny video up here. While I know some cat lovers might not find it amusing *cough* atomoil! *cough*, I think it’s great.
I’m waiting for the Nokia N82 to become widely available before diving into the wonderful world of Flash Lite development, but in the meantime have been swotting up on user stats. Here’s a fairly detailed breakdown on flashmobileblog.com.
Interesting blog posting with subsequent links here. Further blog posting here.
Found this site today which apparently aims at helping those with Flash sandbox issues. You probably wouldn’t want to load any secure data through the site, but it’s perhaps worth a play-around.
