Street Fighter 2 HD breaks sales records

Kotaku reveal that Capcom have blogged that the revamped SF2 is on its way to breaking all sales records for a digital download. Still no digital download for PS3 owners in Europe though, which is crazy.

Glad I’ve got it on 360.

PureMVC for Flash and Flex

Following on from a really good article I read yesterday about not always having the time to factor in OOP and Design Patterns into ActionScript, Adobe have published an article on PureMVC for Flash and Flex.

I think it’s going to take time for the whole industry to build stuff properly. Flash is so wide-ranging now that you can almost be a specialist in one small part of what the technology allows you to achieve.

Rebalancing Street Fighter 2 HD Remix

SSF2THDR is one of the best games I’ve played this year. I’d forgotten how good the game is, and is a million times more fun playing online. Looking forward to playing (and losing) a competition at work soon!
Apparently, the remix (rebalancing) task wasn’t easy. Really interesting interview with Lead designer David Sirlin here. Hopefully future projects of a similar nature will be allocated suitable help and finance in future, as the end results with this remixed Street Fighter are clearly worth it.
